Kids are just fond of Santa and the Christmas tree. Well, Christmas is around and my daughter ordered me to bake a brownie so I thought of making a Christmas tree brownie. Today I will share with you a simple brownie recipe which becomes extra special with the addition of green and red frosting and some sugar candies. I bake the brownies in round cake pans to make cutting triangle shapes easy, with no trimmings or waste.
Brownies is a dessert liked by all of us. Some like it fudgy, some like it cakey. I bring to you a quick and tempting eggless chocolate brownie baked in kadai. You can easily bake it without a microwave and give a christmas surprise to all.
Read on to know the brownie recipe:
Ingredient required:
Chopped dark chocolate: ⅓ cup
Butter: ¼ cup
Powdered sugar: 1/3 cup
Condensed milk: ¼ cup or 2 tablespoon
Milk: ½ cup
Refined flour/Maida: 1 cup
Cocoa powder: 4 tablespoon
Baking powder: ¼ tsp
Vanilla essence: 1tbsp
Brownie recipe:
Melt the chopped dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave for 30 secs. Cool it and stir the chocolate well to tempere it.
In another bowl mix powdered sugar and butter till it looks fluffy, then gradually mix the condensed milk.
Stir the mixture well and add melted dark chocolate to it. Mix the batter and then add all the dry ingredients.
Sieve and mix refined flour/maida, cocoa powder and baking powder into the prepared wet ingredients. Stir the batter and add milk gradually to make a thick paste consistency.
Lastly add some vanilla essence and your brownie batter is ready to put in the oven.
Place the batter into a circular cake tin, do not forget to line the tin with butter paper. Add some dark chocolate chips if you want some extra chocolaty taste.
Bake until the brownies begin to gain a crust around the edges, pull away from the edge and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool the brownie for at least one hour in a cooling rack, (if you do not have cake cooling racks use Chapati jali roaster).
Christmas tree brownie frosting:
Cut each circle into 8 equal triangles with a knife. Use a small offset spatula or pie server to lift each triangle out of the pan.
Insert tandoor wooden sticks, medium size, or you can use lollipop sticks as well.
Poke the sticks giving a tree shape to your brownie
Decorate it with green, red and white frosting adding some sugar candies. I used whipping powder for my frosting and cake food gel colors for decorating the brownie.
Voila! Your Christmas tree brownie is ready.
I am sure you and your kid will love this Christmas brownie. Enjoy the dessert with your family.
